Today I give you camouflage cat and cuddle cat. I almost sat on camo cat later that same day.
Black Cat (an orange and black tortoishell cat) is lounging on a chair that is covered by a brown and orangeish blanket. You can't tell it but the pattern on the blanket is a cheetah or leopard - some kind of spotted cat. Black cat is looking upward which helps distinguish her from the background. She certainly has a way of blending in to her surroundings! Orange Cat (a stripey orange cat) is laying on a cushion, almost dangling off the edge of the couch since that is all the space available to her to lay beside my mom (whose hand is on Orange Cat's chest, giving her a little scritch). Sun is shining in from a window that is outside the frame and it makes the contrast of mom's red robe and orange cat stand out. Orange cat always wants to squeeze in on that spot by mom if at all possible.

Here is Black Cat with her chonky belly up to the air, 'hugging' the cat toy that she will either continue to just hug for a while before abandoning this lounging post by the stairs or start to viciously assault from this same belly up pose.

Orange Cat (sometimes lovingly called Dingus) who is usually either in motion or sitting in a way that allows her to stick her arse in your face, is here depicted in a rare moment of scritch reception without buttfaceitis happening.

In this one her head is back like 'ahhh yeah that's the spot'. There is a sense of tension in the paw that suggests perhaps claws are gripping just ever so slightly. This one she is looking right at me and her paw is flexed out, a hint of claw just visible but not digging in. The look on her face suggests that I am perhaps not doing the scritching quite right in this moment. In this one she is looking at me again - this time the look is fairly clearly one of demand, that the scritching improve or else. She's now extended her paw ensuring all claws are on display so I know what is coming if her demands for proper scritching are not met with immediacy.

Black Cat (or Chonk-op-o-popolis, or Chongo Bongo) has a thing about her back leg. Dangling off, or touching/resting on something.

Black Cat (a black and orange tortoiseshell cat) is sitting in what would be close to a loaf position except she is tipped slightly and her one back leg is stuck out to rest on my arm. What isn't clear in the picture is that she is downright filthy - sometimes she gets to go out into the enclosed side yard with Mom for a few minutes. While there she proceeds to roll in every spot that is covered with grit, twigs, and bits of leaves. Black Cat (a black and orange tortoiseshell cat) is laying on the back cushion of a loveseat. A window is in the background. In the foreground is one dangling little leg, some pink toebeans are just visible on this mostly orange back foot. She loves sitting in this spot by the window. When my parents moved in (their cats moved in before they did) the furniture re-arrangement was all done with the primary need of keeping the love seat in front of this window.

The flop in action (or inaction)
Black Cat (an orange and black tortoiseshell) is flumped out with her belly in the air. For some cats that would be a trap. For her it is an invitation bordering on a demand which you'll hear if you get even remotely close. There is an orange 'fish' cat toy in the bottom left of the image and it and it's siblings are a favorite for Orange Cat who carries them around the house howling.

I just realized I posted #Caturday pictures on a Friday (because I was lucky enough to have the day off). So here is another couple in the same theme as above except reversed - these are the rare ones.
Black Cat (an orange and black tortoiseshell) is fighting a cat toy. She has both back feet up - one orange and one black with toe beans on display - and both front paws grasping it. The toy has dangly string legs with beads on the ends. She is surrounded by the remains of the nip that stimulated this little fight time. Orange Cat (an orange stripey cat) is snoozing on a small blue, white, and orange fleece throw on the couch. The angle of the picture makes her look much bigger than she is (she is a bit of a scrawny thing in reality). But it is weird, with the picture I can almost see her gently breathing as she naps.

This #Caturday I'm just going to note that many of my Orange Cat pictures are like this one and almost all my Black Cat pictures are like this.
Black Cat (a tortoiseshell orange and black cat) is sleeping on a couch with her head rested against the back of the couch but the angle the picture was taken makes it look like she is laying on her head with her body up the back of the couch. The key being that she is snoozing. She is pretty much always snoozing or snacking. Orange Cat (an orange stripey cat with a bit of white on her face) is standing on the shoulder of a black and red gaming chair with her claws dug in on the head rest portion and her butt up in the air. Her face looks like she is contemplating which of the climbing, clawing, perching options she should embark on next. The chair shows signs of the many, many, many climbing and clawing uses she puts it to.

Orange Cat (unsurprisingly an orange cat with a stripey white tipped tail) is up on her back legs, front feet on the edge of a futon that is buried in jackets and sweaters. Her head is firmly ensconced inside a black jacket where apparently there is some fascinating smell to investigate.

I have no actual answer to this but it reminded me of a double exposure picture from my much younger days (me and my sister at the front door of our very 'of the era' house). Always get a kick out of this picture.
A double exposure photo that shows an orange house front door (also orange with brown trim) - what can I say it was the 70s. Concrete stairs are in front of the door. On the left side you can see the first exposure, a blonde girl with a pink shirt and red pants holding the door knob. On the right the door is shown slightly tilted, a brunette girl in shorts and a t-shirt (me) is apparently getting ready to race down the stairs as she is sort of in the race ready position, one knee up, other leg back with knee on the ground.

I remember watching Lawrence Welk LOL. Thankfully since I've been kidnapped and TV characters are coming to save me it is good I last watched Death in Paradise - hopefully they will solve it even though it isn't Death or Paradise (Saskatchewan winter)

Tortoiseshell cat looks like she is laying in a headstand sort of pose because of the angle of the picture. She is actually laying on the couch cushion with her head against the back but my camera was at an odd angle when taking it and it makes me laugh this way so I don't rotate the picture.

I think this is the first time I've been sick since Covid started. Cross your fingers for me that it is just a cold.

I wish I could convince my parents to mask when they go out in public especially now that they live with me.

But since I probably can't here's one of their cats.

Technically this is a picture of Black Cat (an orange and black tortoiseshell cat) laying on a couch with her head resting against the couch back cushion but I must have had the phone turned at an odd angle because it looks like she is sleeping with her head rested on the seat of the couch and her body going up the back of the couch. Plus as mentioned in the post there are some pink toe beans showing on her mostly orange back foot.

Orange Cat is on a gaming chair that is black with red trim. She is on the seat for a change instead of on the arm or on the head rest, she has her claws firmly dug into the back of the chair. If you saw a close up of the chair you'd know this is a frequent occupation. Also there is curling on the tv in the background.

Big power outage here today - it was interesting to see which areas got power back first (not mine :( ).

My housecoat catches on this bag sometimes when I walk past it, wonder what might be going on.

(technically it only catches when the bag is empty, then I think of getting rid of it, but then I think of the below and leave it there)
A paper bag is laying on its side on the floor and Orange Cat (an orange stripey cat with a mostly white nose and mouth area) is just peeking out of it. She likes to hide out in there on occasion. A more 'attack cat' type cat might consider pouncing out when the owner of the toes, just visible on the left side of the image, come into range. But she isn't a big attacker so she just watched the toes and associated leg and other body parts walk by from the safety of her hideout.
