Decided to give a writing prompt app a go. Here's the 1st one I did: A legendary phoenix rises from the ashes of a forgotten kingdom, heralding the dawn of a new age of magic and wonder. #writingcommunity #writingprompt #fantasy
The phoenix shook old soot off its wings. The smell of mold and rust along with it. That filth was from a time long past, and now that it had risen again, it wasn't willing to dwell on such dour memories. This was its time. Time to live, time to grow. An era without guilt or pain. An era without rule or blame. The phoenix wasn't beholden to anyone anymore. And now that it was finally free, it wasn't going to waste another moment. Its bones creaked as it flapped its wings. Muscle memory taking over where its mind was still dull. One flap, then two. Rising from the ground, it slowly took flight. Relishing not only the freedom in the sky, but the freedom of rebirth.

“I think dinner is about ready,” Arienne got to one knee, attempting to stand. “I don't know about you but I like to beat the crowd. Wanna join me?” “Actually, I do,” she stood up in one fluid motion, dusting off her skirts before offering Arienne a hand. “but I wouldn't worry about not having enough food. If we both walk over there together I have a feeling the crowd will part like we're royalty.” She barked a laugh, tossing her ponytail over her shoulder. “You're probably right! Come on then. I can't wait to see the look on Ronin's face when we charge through the masses.” Arienne strode forward, motioning for Selece to join her. Hesitantly she trailed behind her until she forced herself to feel confident enough to walk alongside the Fire Mage. Just like Selece said, the soldiers practically threw themselves out of their way. It wasn't lady like to laugh as hard as she wanted to, but Arienne had no such qualms. As they made their way through the camp her laughter rang out like a bell. Making Selece think that maybe this Fire Mage wasn't so bad after all.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this adding text to images thing so I can share longer snipits of my writing. It's been a journey as most blindness plus images things go but I think I found a work around phew. Either way, here's a sample from 1 of my #WIPs #romantasy #fantasywriter
It was hard, but Eve wouldn’t have changed a thing. If not for playing on the streets, she would have never learned to project her voice as loudly as she could. She would have never learned how to play her harp with a missing string. And most importantly, she would have never met her current employer. A man who’d passed by her enough times to hear her, and wanted to hire her on at the tavern.
