Huge film fan and also like to escape into the world of videogames.
Sisu: Road to Revenge

A silly over the top action film that will easily appeal to the fan.

If you are looking for a action film that has some over the top set pieces that do not relent, then the Sisu sequel is perfect for you.
It's nothing complex but its extremely fun.

Outbreak.

The grief element of the film is used as the main crux however this is easily the weakest part by far.
The film then throws in an infection plot just to make things interesting however the twist spoils this

Train Dreams

A calm and peaceful film that captivates throughout.

Featuring a brilliant performance by Joel Edgerton and some amazing cinematography, this is a film to soothe you rather numbing your brain with loud explosions.

This is comfort viewing at its best.

Wicked: for Good

The difficult second act barley manages to work.

Both Erivo and Grande try to make the basic songs shine and they do a good job of it.
It's thanks to them and Goldberg that this manages to saunter along, if it wasn't for them this would be a empty slog.

Die'ced Reloaded

No words can describe how awful this film is.

From its abysmal acting, to its extreme usage of AI in its music and sfx, to its overall tone and feel, this is terrible filmmaking at its ultimate best.

Truly awful

Keeper.

It has all of the elements to make a very interesting movie.
The acting is very good, the setting has a very creepy and lived in feel, the music is very suited to the setting and the story has interest.
It is a pity that Osgood Perkins doesn't know how to meld these ideas together.

Dream Eater

I really wanted to like this more than I did.

The tension never felt like it was there as when it tries to build it the over usage of non diegetic audio and the interstitial cuts spoil it.

It was still watchable but nothing special.

In Your Dreams

A good enough distraction that you probably won't fully remember.

The animation is perfectly serviceable, there are moments of good humor and the story has just enough charm to keep you interested.
It is a pity though that its not memorable enough to have any impact.

Now you see me: Now you Don't

The perfect example of a snoozefest.

Every actor involved do not care what they are saying or doing as there is no care or attention in the film.
It plods along explaining everything, treating the audience as dumb idiots.
We are as we watched this boring mess.

The Home

The film never finds its way out of being average.

Pete Davison does his best with a very stoic script and by the books story no matter how strange things get.
The film as feels muddled at times using slight shock tactics to paste over the uneven gaps.

The Running Man (2025)

The perfect action film for the average action fan.

Whilst there is nothing overtly wrong with The Running Man the film never rises above being average.
If it wasn't for the very committed performance by Powell the film would of faulted even more.

Average entertainment

Meat Kills

The first Dutch film to get the dreaded NC-17 and I couldn't see why.

Yes it will please gore hounds however it doesn't go to the extremes like the French can.

It is still an enjoyable contained horror film where you don't care who dies.

Queens of the Dead

What could of been a fun cheesy zombie film, turns out to be very average at best.

Whilst there are moments of entertainment these are few and very far between.
The humor never hits and the horror is not present.

Frankenstein

Not del tori's best but still very good.

As with all of his films the style and world that the film exists in is both beautiful and darkly depressing with a story that just manages to hold your attention.

It falters with its CGI and its pacing in the first half.

The Hem

Another by the books found footage film that does nothing to forward the genre

Whilst the film isn't all that bad and it is confident enough in what's its doing, it does nothing to stand out from the crowd, thus falling into obscurity.

The Jester 2

What should of been a fun filled slasher, turns out to be very dull and plodding.

Nothing of note happens in the film not only to stand out but to also entertain.
The acting is very basic, the script has nothing going for it and the kills are way to simple.

Predator Badlands

As a action film this works pretty well as there is more than enough action to keep you interested throughout.
The humor and buddy connection also works thanks to Elle Fanning.

It's biggest problem though is that as a predator movie it unfortunately fails.

Shelby Oaks

A movie of ideas that doesn't know which one it wants to go with.

The film borrows a lot from different genres within horror and doesn't manage to meld them together in a good enough feature.
There is a bit of promise here but I wished that Stuckman kept with on idea.

Hell House LLC: Lineage

A completely pointless end to a good enough franchise.

Why the director did this as a straight forward film instead of found footage like the rest in the series is bewildering.

The whole feel and tension is lost for a bog standard snoozefest.

Strange Harvest

A serial killer mocumentary with a lot of interest.

Despite how slightly cheesy the acting is, Strange Harvest still grabs you, it makes you interested with each step as you become eager to find out what happens next.

Not as horrifying as expected but still interesting.

Coyotes

Comedy and horror can work well hand in hand, Coyotes however is unable to meld the two genres together as this is a completely forgettable film.

The pacing is extremely off, the CGI of the Coyotes is very bad, its forgets to be funny and the horror is basic at best.

Match

A film that has no clue on what tone it wants to hit which makes it feel like an absolute mess.

The films only trump card is its shocking elements and even they feel forced just to distract you from its problems.

A House of Dynamite

Only Bigalow can handle human horror like this

Told from 3 different view points the movie holds our interest throughout and it doesn't let go.
This is very good storytelling with tension being at the forefront.

Biggest disappointment is the ending though

Bloody Eyes

What's the point of a horror film if for its entire runtime it does pretty much nothing and very slowly, Unfortunately Bloody Eyes is one of those films.

Bare bone story, basic acting, no tensions, bad soundtrack, nothing of any good note at all.

Skip it.
