Hoodoo History: Eliza Nicaux was a Voudou Queen in the latter part of the 1800s in New Orleans. Like all of the Voodooists in her day, she practiced hoodoo and was known for her powerful charms. She led the annual St. John's Eve ceremonies as Marie Laveau began winding down her public rituals.
