A friend introduced me to a new, independent bookstore about an hour away. We went back there today and I snagged a few new books.
One day, when I have more time and it's better weather, I want to spend the day reading on their little porch. But for now, I'm cozy in bed with one of my new reads.

Fall weather is finally here! Officially started packing away the summer clothes and pulling out the fall/winter ones.

Ended up caving and getting a yarn winder and yarn swift this weekend. Now that I'm working with a lot more hand dyed and higher end yarns, I've been struggling with unwinding them and need a more efficient process.
Can't say I find it as relaxing as others do, but it helped.

Made egg-free, gluten-free French toast in the air fryer today and holy poop was it good. I might try to find some other recipes just to see what I like best but man... For someone who hasn't tasted French toast in forever this was a treat.

It's encouraging when I look at some of the shifts in my artwork. The first photo was a sketch of my Goliath OC done last year, the second a more recent updates version.
I still have a lot of learning to do, especially around shading, clothing & posing. But I'm seeing improvements in the details.

This morning, remembering when my dad and I made a Stargate miniputt for my Buck and Doe.
Only a few people in attendance understood what was so magnificent about it. I'll forever be proud of this.

Today's accomplishment, aside from cleaning and organizing the fridge and freezer, prepping food, and doing the groceries? Making dinner again... And all new recipes:

Slowly starting to make progress on the decluttering, reorganizing, and maximizing our space efforts. My health, mental and physical, has kicked my ass this year. I'm working on reminding myself it's okay to chip away at things one step at a time.

Nothing like slipping on fertilizer balls and spraining your ankle the afternoon before the long weekend.
Plus side, I made my dex save and didn't hit the ground.
Downside? My ankle is now swelling and ouchie.

At no point should a headline like this ever even have been necessary.

A few more. The performers did an incredible job. (The drunk tiefling was my favourite!). And the dragon battle at the end was so much fun.
The only downside was that they had some really cool merch at the end, but only size small and xs in all sweaters and shirts. Boo.

Many of us love a fast romance in games because we ship characters so hard. But there is something to be said for a slow burn with deep complexities, and time to actually build a relationship.
