There were 70 human H5N1 cases in 2024. The response in 2024 could have been better, but at least it was a response. There is no response now. Maybe over the summer it wasn't such a big deal without as much flu around. But H5N1 is around now. And CDC isn't.

In July, I realized monitoring & testing of people with high risk exposures had essentially stopped since May. I checked today, and these numbers haven't moved. Monitoring & testing is not occurring, despite the fact that exposures almost certainly are.

With respect to Brendan & Daniel, I think this piece misses this mark. Young activists are out where ICE and CBP are, working to prevent our neighbors from getting hauled off to the gulag. I suspect they will come out en masse if it looks like direct action will help. Protests aren’t that rn.

What we need is interested third parties (like nations Trump has set insane tariffs against. Listenin', Canada, UK?) leaking any #EpsteinFiles they may have.
The catch is his DOJ is the sole source of these files.
They can withhold documents claiming they are part of active investigations, redact them citing national security concerns, alter them to protect certain individuals.
