Probably because it is condensed into the weather warnings already publicised by the national weather service which does mention possible flooding for the areas with a yellow and orange warning.

I posted this on Instagram a few days ago. Should be paying back more than the original value he stole.

Adopted Emi two weeks ago from Cara Rescue Dogs.

Safe to say she's selling in well and we are delighted to give her her forever home.

Gearing up to leave Berlin on our overnight train to Amsterdam.
July 31, 2025 at 6:52 PM
Munich was fun, though a few things were closed/inaccessible due to maintenance or other works.

Last day in Berlin tomorrow before off to Amsterdam for the last leg of our holiday.

Enjoying Vienna with my bestie

Thinking it might be the (second) last flight I take

Off to Munich tomorrow, more pics to come

Significant omissions of information as well.

In this paragraph she moves from hospital attendees to serious injuries, glossing over and omitting that cars remain the most likely to cause serious injury by a factor of 10:1.

Incredibly poor work and/or deliberate misinformation.

Disappointing to see a journalist omitting significantly important and contextual information.

In this paragraph, the journo showcases that 1 serious collision a month occurs with cyclists, with the most severe accounting for 46 in this period

This omits cars accounting for 556 in the same period

As the sun sets, just checking in to see over 42% of the houses electricity has come from solar this month. That's up from 20% in March, and 30% in April.

Providing solar energy to households with interest free state loans could help us meet our climate targets hugely #pv #solar #cleanenergy

Enormous fires in South Galway/North Clare this evening.
Acres of damage done.
Firefighters will have a busy evening ahead of them.

This is the current weather here, completely overcast, and still we're getting 89% of our electricity from solar at the same time. Amazing

Some drone shots of Thoor Ballylee, the other evening. So lucky to have this just a couple of mins from where we live.

The 15th Century Anglo-Norman tower, sits beside Streamstown river. The river powered a mill, which is in the process of being restored by a wonderful group of volunteers.

How am I supposed to book a flight with AerLingus when I can't spell my name correctly on the site?

How is this still a problem in Ireland in 2025?

The past 3 days we've gotten 20-25% of our electricity from pv panels.

Solar farms, coupled with storage options, can help solve a portion of our energy makeup, even in Ireland.

Still crushing to see these 50+ year old trees removed immediately following our last storm. Matches dozens of other local fields.

Complete disconnect between our #climate and #biodiversity emergencies on show again from the government comms following #StormÉowyn.

Kiltartan Castle with the #Gort River flowing adjacent

This #castle was built in the late 13th century by #AngloNormans. It sits in ruins, after its reported demolition by Cromwell in ~1652

The castle sits ~40m about the river level, showcasing one of its defensive attributes, besides the moat

Ardnacrusha Hydroelectric power station in Co. Clare today.
Construction on Ireland's largest river based hydro power 100 years ago, with the River Shannon being diverted in order to power over 80% of Irish homes by 1935. Nowadays, the 86MW station can power ~150k houses each year. Dam cool.

Today is #WorldWetlandDay, so here are some bogs I have visited the past while;
Lough Boora, Cloncrow, Abbeyleix, and Nephin.

Ireland's peatland sequesters millions of tonnes of CO2 and provides habitats to hundreds of flora and fauna species. All our bogs need protection from any more degradation.

The local #lichen following #StormÉowyn.

I believe these are Hypogymnia physodes (Monk's Hood) and Usnea rubicunda (Red Beard Lichen), growing symbiotically along this birch tree.

Nearby, larger trees felled from the storm will breed new life if left to decay.
