(I"m realizing that Adol's Monstrum look doesn't really capture Adol as a guy. Man is constantly the butt of jokes about his love for adventure. A lot of his dialogue in Ys X is just him going 'did someone say adventure?' or otherwise expressing interest in a new locale.)

Flying familiars that moved to Raye's whims? Here was a woman that had many mysteries it seemed. Adol nods to his new friend and leads the way away from the fight. Taking Raye's hand so she doesn't fall behind.

He'd take her hand, and, once he'd gotten a safe foothold, noticed her suit start to fade. If that was the source of her power, then she would definitely need help.
He'd grip onto another mech long enough to be able to grip Raye to carry her, and then jump from that mech to the ground.

Adol felt this 'Kagari' person dash past him as he continued to lay down more fireballs. After another dozen, he'd pull his sword out and join Kagari, letting her focus on the big one while he swung at more drones coming closer to her. She likely knew how to fight these things, so he'd leave the
