I have been saying for years I want to move to another country just so I can know what democracy feels like

as part of the economic blackout, I'm not using any Meta products today. so far it doesn't feel like I'm missing anything, and it's better for my mental health to be away from that type of algorithm. hopefully I will feel the same by the end of the day.

I just watched a production of the Diary of Anne Frank. I have never seen a more intense standing ovation. the audience was standing, not just to praise the performers, but to stand against fascism. Anne's story must be retold loudly and often. 1/2

I just keep thinking about current events and I'm hoping the rest of the world is doing whatever they can to make sure their country doesn't follow the same rabbit hole the US is going down. if you live in a country where representatives listen to constituents, CALL THEM. Speak up now, don't wait.
