🤣 I've got a 24 year old truck, 16 year old truck, 2015 Genesis, 2012 Lexus, and a 2024 Ram 3500 that all still daily drive. All of those except the Ram would be dead, close to dead, or worthless by now if they were EV. They want you to buy EVs for their profit margins.

So what you're telling me is that automakers want to sell fewer cars that cost more to make than EVs.

Is it? You get 7 to 10 years out of EV if you're lucky vs 20+ years out of gas engine before you start needing $20k repairs. In addition no one wants to purchase a used 5+ year old EV for the reasons above.

They've always wanted them. The automakers are the ones who had the rules put into place. They want to make cheap electric shit cars but know the American people don't like them. So they get the government to implement emission rules "for the environment" and then they can blame them.

Now the government is going to come and euthanize it.
