Just a typical childless cat dad married to a childless cat lady. Los Angeles (Koreatown) resident. Originally from Buchannon, WV and Killbuck, OH (my parents had a thing for Bucks apparently).
Just got this in the mail. Plan to read a little of @jayforeman.bsky.social and @markcooperjones.bsky.social new book before bed.

We did our NoKings in the leftist bastion of LA County ... Burbank (obvious joke).

We wanted to spend time with our friends. And this was the best compromise for everyone. It was heartening to see people who I wouldn't expect to have an opinion on this be involved.

Went to the annual LA Koreatown festival. It's still on for Saturday and Sunday.

This has been around koreatown for a few years now. Do you do you think the person realizes they were wrong and use this as an example for themselves to be more introspective?

The answer is no. If they were capable of introspection and selfdoubt, they wouldn't have printed up a damn sign.

That's how kids take their enemas now a days. By elevator.

The LA @alamodrafthouse.bsky.social has this outside their bathrooms and it makes me laugh.

Also probably the best public restrooms in the US. If they had bidets they would be as good as Japan.

I am actually disappointed that it said yes.

And yes, I guess it's "disposals", but I grew up calling them disposers and I am not unlearning that.

When you're right - you're right.

As an aside I hope this doesn't break Google searches like the time about a decade ago when I had trouble believing Flat Earthers were real and watched a bunch of Mark Sargent videos in befuddlement.

Real talk. Does anyone put freeze pops in their wine?
July 11, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Or not!

Maybe it is difficult to see, but there is a sign for parking for a church.

So it makes it funny to me.

I can't decide if it wants to to hug you or eat you.

My ~80 year old mother is visiting us in Los Angeles. She wanted to go one of the #NoKings rally.

We went to #WeHo because of easy parking and shade.

She has limited mobility.

If it means anything, my mother is NOT a very politically minded person. I'm hoping it's a good sign that she wanted to

I'm going to assume this is legit.

From earlier. We didn't really get the marchers.
June 12, 2025 at 5:24 AM
Helicopters fly high in the sky. Can't just let marchers just go on by.

Marchers came down Wilshire. And that's scarwy to LAPD apparently.

Again people doing what they should be allowed to do in any functioning democracy.

Sometimes the comments on YouTube aren't a house fire of bad takes.

Cats can really pull off a sexy pose like no other creature.

Hey Dahlia, watching anime movies (she actually likes watching animation) will get more expensive. How do you feel about that?

Was reading and looked up, "aww they love me..."

Look at my phone and realize it's 22:40. 40 minutes past their usual greeny (cat treata) time.

"Oh they are just being creepy cats waiting on their treats."

I just learned my favorite radish at KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) places is called Chicken Mu and that makes me way too happy.

Toasty! We adopted a rescue meez. I'm curious how toasty she will get.

He (right?) is a handsome meezer.

His messed up ear looks cute in profile.

Obelix ate the lentils again...

But seriously, I wish I knew about this series as a kid.

Comics are good for language students.
