Sometimes a book comes along and charms the socks off me, and the Warden by Daniel M. Ford was one.
It's a cozy fantasy about friendship, a bit of romance, and learning to love a place you didn't expect to, *and* an adventure fantasy with questing, fighting, and skeletons and shit. Very recommended.

Been playing 9 Sols since it came out on Switch last week, having an odd time with it. It's definitely *good*, don't get me wrong, but it's a game that's probably stronger overall (as a combat-focused game with exploration) than what I'm playing it for (metroidvania things).
