And my darling monstrosity: the Gingerbread caramel cookie custard pie with brown sugar cream cheese frosting and candied ginger. It was sticky, it needed a strong knife, it could need a warning label for diabetics.
A dark brown pie seethe underneath a ring of fluffy badly piped frosting. The candied ginger covers the worst of the piping sins. In the background: a killer cranberry chutney for the samosa pie.

Let's see, I think this is the Smitten Kitchen maple nutmeg custard, and the cherry pie from locally picked cherries. Plus brownies and spice cupcakes.

The post-holiday friends gathering Feast Of Pies was so good but I am so full of pie.

Cornish Pasties and Samosa Pie for the savory starter:

Why did my cookies soup themselves? The world may never know.
A tray of what might have started as 9 cookies, but has melted into one large tray of goo. The powdered sugar one might expect to form a crackle crust on the cookies is sort of looking like icebergs disappearing into a climate crisis.

It's a beautiful day, and I am drinking in that beauty like it is the water that will sustain me across the desert.
