I'm not churches. They can spend their energy how they want. I'm just here trying to get people to understand how reality works. I'm having a hard time.

It's always "primary everyone" and then when their candidate doesn't succeed, they withdraw all support and complain about needing fighters. I'd believe their ideas more if they weren't so frequently about fighting with Dems over safe Dem seats, or about reducing numbers in favor of "better people".

Just give them 60 Senators, what could go wrong!

You're definitely different people. He won 😆

Aspiring politician thinks we should lose seats in the Senate as long as we get "fighters" to continue the struggle in the minority. I'm beginning to see why you lost your election...
Remember when we had that majority? And still got nothing?
No, we need new representation.

Hard to see why you lost so badly...

If we get them the majority they will have actual power and they won't need to fight as much. Jesus, you're really bad at this.

"My ideas couldn't get me 2% in an open primary, the voters just aren't ready for my future-vision, Dems please listen to me I have a winning strategy!"
Uh sure ok.

Look he ran a campaign, there's honor in that! But if you lose with less than 2% of the vote in an open primary, maybe your ideas about how to win over the voters are demonstrably ineffective.

Trying is fine! Thanks for that! But you didn't win. Why should we listen to your ideas on how to win? They didn't work.

Congrats on running, did you win?
No?
Then what special insight do you have?
I'm not telling Dems what will win, so my political experience is immaterial. I'm trying to determine why so many people, who haven't won elections, think they know how to win elections.

I hardly think that losing a primary race (badly) gives you standing to tell the rest of us how to win elections, so what are you doing here?

But THAT IS STILL HELPING. That is more than almost any other organization would do.
The other aspect of all this stupid bullshit is that the asshole scamming for TikTok views was talking to secretaries or volunteers, people who have no power over the church budget. But sure, they're the evil ones.

The church I attended in Phoenix turned part of their building into housing for less fortunate families. When they stayed there, they got food, shelter, and job counseling/training services. Their community outreach was amazing. If you called their secretary, you would get a referral. That's it!

They do this for many reasons:
- established charities like food banks can use donations to work directly with suppliers to get steeply discounted food.
- it provides a direct need instead of just cash, increasing the impact and minimizing scammers.
- no money is wasted, it can all be accounted for

Are you ok? There was no mention of a list of recipients, just donors. That means they need to keep track of who GIVES money to the church, not who GETS it from the church. And, yet again, churches are not charity ATMs. They're allowed to be cautious, and they donate a LOT to established programs.

They do all of those things! That's what allows them to have a tax-exempt status! The government actually checks that stuff!
But you seem to think that because they are tax-exempt, they are required to give money to anyone who calls expressing a need. I want you to speak more on that.

Does your church just have that lying around? Mine doesn't. Nor do they have cash available for free for people who say they need it. What they DO have is a network of organizations that will help.
You seem to think that churches should be ATMs for anyone who claims a need. Why is that?
