You can't leave editing a misdiagnosis to the clinicians who know the patient or are witness to their suffering. That high-level thinking must be reserved for hallucinating, unaccountable computer softwares that can emotionlessly help detached insurance companies avoid as many payouts as possible.

I do love that GDT brought back the long hair. I always imagine Fabio but y'know, dead

Yeah, I can see that being on purpose. I didn't like it though. I think it's overall a good movie but that was the one thing that annoyed me the most. I just wish we'd had more from her. Even her crying in her rejection with Victor was very ehhhh for me. Like I guess? 🥴

I wish we'd stayed with her character more. She was very manic pixie girl but goth. She was very code for what Victor's mom was/represented and his inability to deal with her without becoming his father. I think she's interesting but what we know is she's kind of odd and likes bugs

Although the movies are not the same as the novels, there are specific tales from the movies that are seen in the novels if you look at them as more than "this isn't words as written." The irony is real.

I will also say there is a Tumblr post I see that I'm thinking of that broke down the movies as simple versions of the stories and calling it a failure of literary comprehension which is very funny to me because their interpretations of the movies is doing the same in reverse.

But I am curious about what specifically people think GDT got wrong about the book.

Apparently some people are very big mad about this version of Frankenstein because they feel it isn't accurate enough to the novel but then there are others who feel it misses the point of the novel. Now, the book traditionalist I have nothing to respond to because people want what they want

Elizabeth...seems to be written as a plot device thus far 🥴

Victor is a dick and we know that. But your brother's fiance?

Frankenstein's disposition is giving big "I want to fuse my daughter with my dog" energy
