Our medical school (in Colombia) was 6 years plus one year internship, and clinical stages started on the second half of 3rd year; a lots of hands on, internship was interesting and busy, and afterwards a rural year to be able to get our license.

Very personal opinion as I started medical school at age 15 and turned 16 few months in, I was traumatized already by the nuns in high school; if anything, medical school (and living for first time out of my house) help me to mature and become a very compassionate human being

Continuous communication between the surgical team and the anesthesiologist is fundamental together with good understanding of the different pain pathways involved in the cesarean section
