gonna be doing my campsite on stream tomorrow. should I go with beach, rocks/peninsula, or woodsy? and which location? I'm drifting more towards a beachy site, either at 5 or 6 because I've never done one there before, but what are your opinions?

BRUH. even on thriftbooks my textbooks for this semester are $170. hopefully I can get by without them for the first few weeks because I'm not getting my disbursement till almost Christmas. the physics book isn't super necessary because I can access it online, but I prefer BOOKS instead of pdfs. 😩

ayyy twitch recap! streaming-wise, not bad considering how incredibly lax I was about it this year! very proud of myself.
viewer-wise, sadly not the best. a lot of the people I enjoy watching also stream at the same time I do and our games rarely coincide so there's not much in the way for collabs.

the other issue is there are some bugs. but they're not major! and really not anything that's going to break immersion. more funny than anything, but from what I've seen in their Discord the devs are very quick to acknowledge them and work on fixes.

each NPC will give you a series of quests to do. there really isn't any particular order I found you need to do them in, but you do need to do all of them for progression and tool/gear upgrades!
there are NPCs in every biome, and their homes will keep you warm when you're out exploring.

cooking was my most-used method of crafting. food will give you stat boosts and keep you from going hungry while exploring, which keeps you conscious. the mushrooms are great when you're starting out but the pies are where it's at for keeping a full belly and boosted abilities.

knitting is how you get upgraded clothing. try to knit yourself new pieces as soon as you're able to, they give you extra cold resistance! you can freeze out there if you're not paying attention to your status or the time!

woodworking nets you refined materials, tools, and furniture. upgraded tools are needed for story progression, so be sure to do that as soon as you get the recipes! (also save your flint for tools!)

to start, this is an incredibly beautiful game. the hand drawn art style is such a breath of fresh air, especially in the indie scene. the muted color scheme and woodsy aesthetics make for a very cozy environment, even when you're outside freezing your paws off.
