Promoting the idea that trauma can never be valid cause for gender dysphoria really boils down to just another way of reducing gender identity to bioessentialism, which is why both TER'fs' and truscum can kindly kick dirt on this issue.

After being assaulted in July, this time for my femininity, I don't feel comfortable as woman nor man, and I refuse to objectified on the basis of my junk by random creeps EVER again.

After processing my own trauma,I think that I felt more comfortable in femininity when I was younger bc my experience of being repeatedly objectified for perceived traditional maleness traumatized me, but that doesn't make my past comfort in femininity any less valid than anyone elses.

Unpopular opinion:
Being sexually assaulted CAN influence how someone feels about their gender identity, and if the survivor in question doesn't feel comfortable in their masculinity or femininity BECAUSE of those experience, that person is perfectly valid.
