this is the key point. there were so many fantasies among people who really should have known better that this "had to be a military hit". no, this is just the country we've built. access to guns and gun culture means that there are millions of random people able to inflict military level damage
the thing about american gun culture is that there’s an online-poisoned local kid with a deer rifle in basically every town in america
one key piece of evidence i keep coming back to here and with the kid who took shots at trump: they were local boys. these aren't motivated supersoldiers planning attacks on key targetsnand expending time and energy to track them. this was something local you can do in an afternoon

I have to assume that this also isn’t great for Sweeney, long-term. She broke out doing HBO prestige shows like EUPHORIA and WHITE LOTUS. Not really a demographic that loves Charlie Kirk’s podcast, you know. She’ll continue to work, of course, but I think the shine is off
