Super. Please update us at the end. I'd be interested in hearing how the scientists and their work are portrayed in the novels. The Jurassic Park books do a good job at describing maths and how it's more enticing to visit a dangerous island to certain death than it is to keep applying for grants :P

Great question! I read some of them. Sometimes they bring clarity to some character actions, but that points more towards weak filmmaking IMO. How’s the Godzilla faring?
