My grandfather and much of his family suffered from Huntington's disease. Though obviously this is by no means a "cure", it is great news! Honestly the only good news I can remember for a long time - I hope to hear more about this therapy in the future!

People that eat crunchy foods and make loud smacking sounds as they eat in inappropriate public places like lecture halls are just built different.

I keep putting off important but involved house work until "things slow down" or I "have more energy." I'm never wet mopping the floors again, am I?

In this moment, I find myself stuck between the urge to purge all my belongings down to the essentials for the mental clarity and ease of minimalism and the need to hold tightly to material things that bring me joy in the face of great fear and uncertainty.

There has to be a German word for this?

Big news! There are still people at the NSF sending emails!

Unfortunately, my grant proposal was declined, which tbh, I am ok with.

What I am not ok with is a rejection and no feedback or reviewer comments! What about that is efficient and transparent? How am I supposed to improve my submission?

Good job

This right here is what we’ve been asking for as a minimum, and they actually did it. I’m so glad I was wrong in assuming a few of them would fold
SCHUMER: “Funding the government should be a bipartisan effort but Republicans chose a partisan path, drafting their continuing resolution without any input—any input—from congressional Democrats. Because of that, Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate to invoke cloture on the House CR."

I submitted a NIH grant proposal to the last year to the NIDCR. The study section meeting was supposed to take place 2/27-2/28. As of last week, it was still on! Checking the Wayback Machine, their latest scrape from 2/22 also said it was on, and it had a list of reviewers. I was so excited!
