Ok, my request to streaming services for using AI - add an automatic reducer option for flashing lights/screens, reducing on screen animation and lowering the white point of the video for recorded and live content. ESPN, Disney+, Netflix, Paramount+, Hulu, Peacock TV, YouTube, etc

This breaks a big barrier to accessible games. I’m glad to see it.

Unity developers can now tap into system screen reader tools on macOS and Windows
Unity is updating its game engine so developers can leverage the built-in screen reading software in desktop operating systems.

The thing I love about the US is that we're the only nation in the world confused enough to:
have produced the most CO2 in the atmosphere,
wag our fingers at everyone else about CO2 emissions,
claim that the world can't switch to solar fast enough,
then get mad at China for subsidizing their solar

Just get rid of congressional districts. Install rank choice voting and have the whole state vote for their slate of representatives.

What if we established a tax-exempt Church of Democracy and sued the government for infringing on our religious freedoms when it does authoritarian stuff?

My video about how LLMs are not search engines has led to many, MANY comments telling me that I should be using Perplexity. Some insisting that Perplexity does not hallucinate.

Out of a list of 26 papers it just provided me (in "Research" mode) 4 were real. FOUR. 85% hallucination rate.

I was in the news business for only 4 decades, so maybe I don't know much. But it seems like the transformation of the U.S. into a police state would be worth a headline and a few paragraphs.

Digital technology was promised as a way for information to be accessible.

That accessibility is now being stripped intentionally in places like Mississippi to fuel disinformation and surveillance.

I know that sounds ridiculous but we live in truly ridiculous times.

Designers love to be like "users hate scrolling" then hide crap in an expandable menu so no one can find anything.

It’s called “survival tips for women in tech”, but I’m told it works for all genders and in countless industries.

Good reminder
If someone who voted for him is now suffering as a direct result, don’t gloat.

Invite them to organize with you.

The cruelty may have been his point, but it should never be yours.

Accessibility is not wasteful.
If any government thinks it will save taxpayers money by cutting accessibility it will be sadly mistaken.
