Something about how he’s *a*-ridin’ on that pony, right before he stops to notice those “men and boys, thick as hasty pudding.” It’s a goddamn gay anthem.

Yes, in Harlem in the early twenties. The descriptions are magical…

Thank you. Not to mention it’s exhausting…

How old is the book? These illustrations are wonderful!

This is one of those situations where the apology is meaningless. He had the thought. He decided that it was worth expressing that thought on national television. We know what we need to know, thank you.

“Course he does! Probably on a tenner a day, and I know what for! 2 pound 10 a tit and a fiver for his arse!” Lines that take on a new meaning when you read about what happened to Bruce Robinson at the hands of Zeffirelli!

The meaninglessness of the line "Nor will I, since I also know what it is," and in particular the anti-sense of the way the word "since" is used there, are disturbing, and tell me that, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Donald Trump wrote this poem.

Their performance of Big Shot in that doc is transcendent, and I couldn’t agree more about his drumming. He’s always both powering everything and sort of apart from it, almost commenting. You can really hear the influence he had on Stuart Copeland.

PROFOUNDLY true. Everett Morton. Grew up on St. Kitt’s island, which has a deep and fascinating tradition of West-African influenced percussion.

I want to thank Bob at Ace Hardware, who it turns out knows a LOT about epoxy. And of course, my wife, who has really been there for me. I also want to thank God, who really came through on this one. He and I haven't always gotten along, as some of you know, but on this project he was just awesome.

I loved the way he included God in the category of: "everybody."

Lovely shot. I love the name of this bird: merganser. From mergere, merge. A diver. To dive is to merge with the water.

Yes. Ambiguities of language are a kind of wedge. You use them to open space for future violations. And when you’ve gotten away with it once, you can point back to that as precedent.

Every time you think we’ve hit a low it turns out to be a false bottom.

Your podcast with Anand G. was bracing. I felt I was finally hearing the voice I needed to hear. Are you ready to step into the national leadership role that we need you to assume, alongside AOC and Jasmine Crockett? It’s only a small group of you who recognize what’s happening and are making sense.

There’s also the deeper question of what they mean by “saved.” In a lot of cases, it seems to mean simply, “eliminated.” If you burn down my house, did you “save” me 300k?
