The original, from 2020.

You still need large datasets of voice recordings for it.

And if you believe what you say, tell your friends at Embark to not shoot themselves in the foot by putting their "TTS" in the GenAI disclosure.

Or maybe they have a contractual obligation to be honest with Valve about it. But not to you.

Embark use (what is now known as) GenAI, or an LLM if you prefer the non-marketing version of the name.

They said it themselves, it is on their storefront, it is in the disclaimer, it is in their interview.
It is GenAI voices.

You don't need to defend the multi-million dollars company.

Thanks.

How do you explain it is in their Steam's Generative AI disclosure if it is not GenAI then?

It is an "AI-based tools" (By their own words). Don't be gullible.

Also, "With consent" is interesting when your choice is: You agree to it, or you don't get the job.

Embark Studio already pulled the same "It's Ethical" excuse in their previous game (The Finals)

Even if they applied a dataset of their own actors (with consent), the software was still trained on stolen work originally.

GenAI cannot be ethical. The software is rotten by default.

Would have worked if not for Eerk's Warp shield.
