Georgia Dow said in a video last season that Alastor "has begun caring for Charlie, despite being a narcissistic sociopath", but I'm not sure if that still applies in Season 2. (Her most recent video about Alastor is paywalled behind a Nebula subscription instead of being posted free to YouTube.)

Not a fictional character, but my grandfather. He passed away in November 2024, but he was a carpenter and custom homebuilder who would collect and restore wooden antiques, such as radios, clocks, furniture, etc...he would collect and read crime, thriller, and mystery novels as well (ex. Dan Brown).

I believe that you are correct, though I can't remember the exact words Viv said about the topic. I think the Hellaverse is meant to be a parallel universe to our own, but with some minor differences (ex. Alastor being the first Black radio host in New Orleans instead of Dr. Daddy-O, 1933 vs. 1949).
