Respawn/EA were 1000% dicks for doing this, just to enforce an anti-cheat app that demands kernal level access and can basically allow any malevolent actor backdoor access to any part of your PC.
It should be a huge red flag that they are forcing this on so many people.

If not, try running it through Proton, (via steam or separate app), it creates a bubble environment that most any Windows game plays in.

Valid. I did the same thing for about a month before pushing my files over and then wiping the Windows partition.

I jumped ship about six months ago and haven't looked back. Nearly every application I used on Windows, works 100% on Linux with no additional fuss or stress.
Every game I've played/streamed has just worked. Steam's Proton compatibility is truly remarkable.

It's time. The gap is nearly seamless.
