Wild how Pedneault, who at 35 subjected himself to a toxic environment to "co"lead the Green Party (pun intended) is left to fall on his sword, while the person who (again) should be taking responsibility is carrying on as if leading the party is her birthright.

This is the absolute silliest hill to die on. Supply management is bad for consumers by pretty much every metric - Canadian dairy products are way more expensive and lower quality than European & US.

With limited exceptions (looking at you Cows Creamery) I'll take US dairy over Canadian any day.

Very excited for someone to introduce Scott Moe to section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982.

Everyone loves the emperor's new suit.

Me and everyone else in the LPC who didn't buy into the hype in 2013 could have (and did) seen this coming. At the time, everyone told us we were crazy to support anyone for leader other than Trudeau. This has always been how it was going to end.

Very glad to be in Winnipeg on this lovely day where it will be -42 with the windchill.

Always great when people fight antisemitism by *checks notes* making lists of rich and powerful Jews?? *checks notes again* who are "seeking to dismantle western values".

Ya definitely no issues there. Definitely not going to end up going badly for the Jews.

I love having a job where I get to eat a caribou poke bowl for lunch between hearings. I don't even mind the -50c temps in Iqaluit this week with treats like this!

2023 has been many things, including a year in which I rediscovered my love of reading for the sake of reading, thanks in no small part to having absolutely devoured almost all of @nkjemisin.bsky.social's books (some of them twice in a row!).

Yellowknife, I am in you.

I'll be taking a social media hiatus for a while, but first I needed to post this from @swordsjew.bsky.social, which is the best description of how I'm feeling right now.

Pretty sure that's exactly what the evil AI tells you when you ask it whether it's evil.

We love to see it.

I hate to screenshot the other place but @doubleemmartin.bsky.social hit it out of the park with this one. Truly humiliating campaign strategy.

This is the premier of Manitoba campaigning for reelection on a literal platform of disrespecting indigenous murder victims.

The editorial board usually aims for easily accessible singles, but on Parliament's disgusting recognition of a Nazi SS soldier, the @globeandmail.bsky.social editorial board hit a home run.

Lol never mind I just got an email from them advertising a new event called "Woke Antisemitism" about how "woke antisemitism imperils North American Jews". So they can get fucked and we'll just go back to this then

Look, I love peppermint bark as much as the next former Williams Sonoma employee who got through multiple holiday seasons on a diabetes-inducing cocktail of peppermint bark dust (leftover from samples) and whole milk, but surely pumpkin spice deserves at least a single month in the spotlight?

It's long been known that Canada has turned a blind eye to the ex-Nazis it harboured, with a particular blind spot for Ukranian Nationalists who allied with the Nazis. But this week Parliament gave one of these Nazis a standing ovation. What will it take for there to be a reckoning in this country?

Bluesky likes challah, right? Anyways here's a skeet with this frankly delicious challah I made for Rosh Hashanah! Filled with orange confit, figs, dates and pecans, this is the same challah I made on Season 1 of the Great Canadian Baking Show (yes, the one in the tent).

Shana Tova!

Somoenone posted a big sign outside Toronto's Wilson subway station that says, in Anishinaabemowin: "Where are you from?"

I can think of all kinds of good reasons to do it, and I'm dying to know who put it up!
