Stop rejecting a good life because it isn't the specific good life you wanted.

Enjoyed Coogler’s Sinners very much. It may very well ignite more interest in the delta blues, and that makes me happy for my friends in Clarksdale.

I know at my age, with my education and intelligence and access to the internet, I should know exactly what cookies are and whether or not I should allow them. But I simply do not. And maybe I never will.

It appears I’ve lost a beloved family member today. Despite some recent health issues it was unexpected. Another familial pillar my life has rested on seems to have fallen. It feels surreal to carry on among the ruins, but her support has blessed me with bright days which endure.

Today, Black Friday, I ate lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee. Country music renditions of standard Christmas carols played along a looped soundscape of bird calls, thunderstorms, and big cat growls.

Thanksgiving 2024: New Orleans to Memphis to Nashville. Good times, but I hope to stay home next year.
