I used a tripod and got really close (and because you're so close it's very difficult getting things in focus. Using a zoom lens helps!).

On this day I'll remember Bismuth, he was the sweetest cat (except for mice maybe). He died in June this year, and after it got awfully quiet for a while, Argon finally found his voice and is now responsible for all the yodeling.

I once bought a Martin ukelele from a very sweet old woman. It was her late husband's. It reminded her too much of him so she decided to sell it. When it arrived I discovered it was about hundred years old (!), probably late 20s. After all these years it still smells like an old church.
