ONE YEAR ENGAGED 🥂✨💍

A year of love, adventures, and plenty of planning—both as a couple and as a wedding planner.

This milestone reminds me why inclusive celebrations matter: all lovers deserve a wedding that truly reflects who they are.

Here’s to the next chapter (hello, Tuscany! 🍷🇮🇹).

Traditions are powerful—but only when they actually mean something.

Who decided a ‘real wedding’ needs white dresses or a first dance?

The rituals that matter are cultural, spiritual, and personal—and that reflect your story. ✨

Which traditions did you rewrite, reclaim, or rebel against?

💍 For those who’ve already had a wedding:

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to others in the LGBTIQ+ community planning theirs?

Your insights could make someone else’s day even more meaningful. ✨

Happy International Non-Binary People’s Day!

Nonbinary doesn’t have to look androgynous. It doesn’t have to look ‘neutral.’ It can look like softness, color, femme vibes, or anything else that feels like you.

✨ You don’t owe anyone androgyny or clarity. You just owe yourself authenticity.

💛🤍💜🖤

It’s so frustrating when I search for queer friendly wedding vendors in a region I haven’t worked in before and I find lists with supposedly queer-friendly vendors. And I visit their website. And there’s just NOTHING queer. No pictures. No inclusive language.

Here's an important wedding vendor tip:

🕯️ PULSE NIGHT OF REMEMBRANCE 🕯️

Today, we honor the 49 lives taken in the 2016 massacre at Pulse, a safe haven for LGBTIQ+ and Latinx communities in Orlando—a brutal act that remains the deadliest mass shooting against our community in modern U.S. history.

Planning a wedding is a journey filled with countless decisions. From the venue selection to the guest list, each choice shapes the celebration.

Looking back, what’s one decision you made that you’d wholeheartedly repeat? And is there something you might approach differently now?

How did you navigate wedding industry norms that didn’t reflect your identities or values?

Many of us have to rewrite the ‘rules’ to make the day feel like ours. What did you skip, reimagine, or proudly do your own way?

LESBIAN VISIBILITY DAY

To everyone who identifies as lesbian—including sapphic, queer, fluid, or enby folks:

You are valid. You are seen. You belong in this community—exactly as you are.

Love is expansive. So is queerness.

What 💩 did you have to wade through to plan your wedding as a queer, trans, or otherwise marginalized person?

Vendors who couldn’t say your names right?
Family drama?
That one aunt who just had questions?

Planning a wedding—past, present, or someday?
What moment (or detail) made you feel the most seen, included, or celebrated in the process?

Whether it was a queer-inclusive vendor, a ceremony that broke tradition, or just the playlist—tell me what mattered.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility!

Don’t forget:

(1/2)

🏳️‍⚧️ trans people are people.
🏳️‍⚧️ trans people belong.
🏳️‍⚧️ you are trans enough.
🏳️‍⚧️ visibility is powerful, but so is privacy.
🏳️‍⚧️ you deserve joy, safety, and love.
🏳️‍⚧️ trans rights are human rights.
🏳️‍⚧️ there is no one way to be trans.

Love and life deserve to be honored—not just at weddings, but in all the moments that shape us.

From vow renewals to welcoming ceremonies, milestone birthdays to gender reveals 2.0 (because trans joy deserves to be celebrated!), and from memorials to funerals:

A wedding ceremony should feel like home—a reflection of you, your love, and your story.

As a wedding celebrant, I craft and officiate ceremonies that honor your identities, cultures, and values. Whether it’s a cozy elopement or a grand celebration, your wedding should feel like yours.
