Is this mean evenly across all uncommons (sum/110) or weighted by frequency of play? I feel like play weighted probbaly gives a more accurate picture of formats though dunno if any would have too notable of a difference

Oh my God, why are the wildcards so light on uncommons this set! That seems like a big change which is extremely undercommunicated atm

These aren't quite matching my numbers, particularly for uncommon. SPM has 55 uncommons instead of 100, and uncommon/pack distribution is basically the same, so an 8 man should see 100/55 as many of each and a 4man 50/55 as many. Relative to .95 for eoe would expect .86 for pick 2 and 1.73 spm 8man

And replacing a spell with a monument is +3 to your counts, so as powerful for hitting colors as *3* duals. Same dynamic with concentrate being +2 actually as much as advantage as casting two divination. Plenty of other ways opportunity cost can come up of course but those are simplest/most frequent

As far as future topics, one that I've been thinking about a lot in respect to some TDM is opportunity cost. In particular with respect to card advantage and mana fixing. E.g. how replacing a forest with thornwood is +1 to your counts, but opulent is +2, basically twice as good instead of 1.5x
1/2

Not very interested in Gb variations, with a big problem being thatit curves poorly with aggressive negotiations and leveraging that well can be key to making B's commons less embarrassing. It does at least have positive interactions with alesha's legacy but that really needed to be overdrive

Red also provides some redundancy on the stat line and a good target for the renew ability in the rescue leopard, and summit prowler curves well (possibly better that pummeler even in this context? Redundancy at the least)

Great episode. I had similar thoughts independently & was fun to see almost every aspect or positive synergy called out in detail (wild ride, fire rim, humbling, bell mastery). To my mind the final crappy-always-wheels-aggro-common that may find a home here especially later format is wingspan stride
