I paused on this (above) page for its representations of Taino petroglyphs. In dated racist language, Dennis makes a reference to the petroglyphs by saying that "they sure were FUNNY LOOKIN' Injuns."

He sees a zemi as well in the same space and thinks it is a dragon.

I am reading through this special issue of Dennis the Menace, where the protoganist and his family visits the Caribbean, specifically Jamaica and Puerto Rico. As one can imagine, the 1970 comic is laden with stereotypes of the localities and locals.

I watched Marvel's Kraven: The Hunter. I did not enjoy the movie. However, some things caught my attention - all having to do with representations of Haitian religion on screen.

A mambo made the potion that sparks the Hunter's powers. A young Calypso, related to the mambo, feeds Kraven this elixir.
