I'm curmudgeonly and cranky Gen Xer about a lot of stuff but THE YOUTH should have softness as long as possible. You can build resilience in other ways. For ex. finding hobbies your kid is passionate about but that are not easy and setting a firm limit on when they can stop. MODEL behavior.

in detroit some kids got killed by traffic in really high snow during big storms one year, because it was taking so long for all the sidewalks and roads to be cleared so they had to walk in the street. if it saves one life it's worth it. idgaf WHAT i used to have to do.
They cancel school for anything these days. These kids today would have hated going to school back in the day because they didn’t give af 😂😂😂😂 the weather conditions were insane they were still talking about 2 hr delay. Shit had to crazyyyyy for school to be cancelled.
