It's all happening as it ever has, helplessly. One girl leaves the house; another arrives at sunset, seeking a story for a newspaper.
It’s Treasure Island. The one you have to pass over to get between Oakland and SF. They built a shitton of housing and it’s one of the few places younger folks can afford to live in reasonable conditions.

It’s cool how people just constantly lie about what the Family Zoning Plan will actually do
Call me next time? I might have one in the can of antique screws.
Yeah so like, I don’t want you to see me as a woman, or a man, or necessarily a third thing in between, but as a little spark of spirit obliged to drive a beat up early-model woman suit until the wheels fall off.

Relatedly, I am becoming aesthetically SO CONFUSING to gay men. Ahahahaha…
I can’t reply on threadreader but lol at the plain & fancy examples. Almost all of the small- & at least 1 if not 3 of the large fancy buildings were built by Fernando Nelson. Distinctive! Crowd pleasing! Vernacular! (He had never trained as an architect & made up his front designs!)
So the guy who just blew by me on his ebike on Valencia Street, blasting “What does the fox say?” thank you.
Now I have that stuck in my head

LA County developed a publicly owned and open source voting system that supports 18 different languages. It's ADA compliant. (Though a second generation voting machine is coming out to make it easier for low vision and blind voters).
No Diebold, etc. no proprietary black box software

And this is why the corporate class shut down Teen Vogue.
WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Gen Z women aren't playing around.

buy a drink for the iraq war vet in your life. bring out the confetti. bake em a cake.
Scott Adams was funny for a little bit, but has spent most of his life being an absolutely awful antisocial human. He won’t be missed.
It’s in Oakhurst, 15 miles from the park.
There so frequently is.
The butler. The mistress of the house. The groundskeeper. There is old hatred between them.
I mean they are funny looking but the metaphor was just not working for me 😂 www.brecks.com/cdn/shop/fil...
Thanks Obama.
Obama: They never miss a chance to scapegoat minorities and D.E.I. For every problem under the sun. You got a flat tire? D.E.I.. Wife mad at you? D.E.I..
After a fourth read through I begin to believe this is not actually about fall bulb planting. 🤔

F. Scott Fitzgerald: In my book I invented Gatsby lifestyle as a cautionary tale

The president: At long last, we have created the Gatsby lifestyle from the classic novel The Great Gatsby
We asked for this for like eight years on Twitter.

Skeletons for #Halloween, from the Nuremberg Chronicle (1493). About the least rare rare book in existence (@theulspeccoll.bsky.social has 5 copies) but this one hand-coloured and part of a donation made in 1574 by Elizabeth I's Archbishop of Canterbury Matthew Parker. Inc.0.A.7.2[888].
