In 2018 I was a finalist in an official StarWars.com fan art contest with entries from all over the world. I submitted this stained glass candle box I titled “Bespin”.
The winner was a “stained glass” panel someone made in photoshop. That’s my life right there. #itssalt

I took this photo on an 8th grade Washington DC school trip. I found it in a shoebox earlier this summer and have since framed it and put it on my desk. Nothing we’re seeing now is new.

I’ve never had the chops to make this my whole life (despite some attempts) but I’m thankful for everything that came along with that primal urge to pick up a guitar, write to a form, and sing my damn heart out whether I sounded good or not.

Had I a more intimate knowledge of the genre, I would curate a series of playlists called “Blues Queues”

WFMU is bringing back the print edition of our program guide/zine LCD! The theme of the next issue is “forgotten and re-emerging media formats,” but we’re seeking art, comics, and essays on any culturally relevant or irrelevant topics. Deadline is January 15. For more info: https://wfmu.org/lcd
