'Geek Love' by Katherine Dunn

I first read this back in 2005. For some reason, I was expecting a light, quirky comedy (Zooey Deschanel movies were all the rage at the time). Instead, I found something shocking and disgusting and absolutely brilliant 😁

A few months ago, I decided to read through all of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels in the order they were published. I finished the first one, 'The Colour of Magic', and then got distracted by other things on my to-be-read list.

Today, I'm finally starting #2 - 'The Light Fantastic'!

My debut novel Future Fish - a comedy about a hapless gay misfit trying to hold down a job in corporate Ireland and avoid getting caught up in a cat food conspiracy theory - has just hit 50 ratings on Goodreads 🥳🥳🥳
