Statement on Josh Kraft's July Fundraising Report Amid reports of unethical fundraising practices, Josh Kraft - who frequently preaches fiscal responsibility - reported spending $1.8 million in July leaving him with just $148,000 cash on hand, only months after cutting himself a $2 million check. With the Kraft campaign running on fumes, just two days after his "relaunch," voters deserve to know how many millions Josh Kraft is planning to spend on his campaign to buy this election. We have several questions for Josh to answer since his campaign's current financial situation leaves him with limited options for the next steps in his campaign: 1. How much of his own fortune will Josh now insert into his campaign? He has already infused $2 million. 2. How many more Trump donors and out-of-state billionaires will give to Kraft's SuperPAC? 3. Given his cash on hand, is Josh's campaign now in debt, especially with certain consultants appearing to defer their monthly retainer payments? 4. Are any staff or consultants supporting the Josh Kraft for Mayor campaign, including those who do not appear to have been paid in the July finance reports, also on a contract with any other Kraft Group entities? If so, how is the Josh Kraft for Mayor campaign ensuring that such an arrangement does not constitute an illegal corporate contribution? Boston is not for sale.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Billionaires are trying to buy this campaign for nepo baby Kraft from their shop outside of Boston.

If these billionaires truly wanted to serve their communities instead of their personal interests, I’m sure plenty of local orgs could use that $2M to help families and residents across Boston.

The only way to solve Boston’s traffic is to get cars off the road.

Encouraging mode shift by getting some people out of their cars and onto public transit or walk/bike as able is the best way to do that.

Anything else is just hollow political rhetoric.

Stoked to see ranked choice voting in Boston move forward! We can’t let false beliefs in the ability of voters stop us from implementing more representative ways of voting.

Believe in Boston voters. We are resilient, and can learn and adapt!
