Gotta love the densest/tallest zone adjacent to the interstate, tapering down as you get further away. Lol. Lmao, even.

Another weird little leftover near my apartment that doesn't really need to exist for cars. I'm sure there are places all over the city just like it. Close it off, add furniture, plant trees 🤌🏻

I've always felt like this little stretch of N 35th in Fremont should be closed to cars. It's a really crappy car place but would be a good people place.

This is the type of relatively small project a climate mayor could replicate all over the city. In this case, the intersection includes

1. crappy surface parking
2. brand new apt bldg
3. small commercial space
4. new playground for #5
5. new (mostly empty) office bldg w/ childcare on the ground flr

This is the best piece of architectural photography I've seen in a long time.

Yes, it's definitely the new route 40 bus lanes that are causing traffic jams. Not, you know, all of the cars.

Single stair Swiss high rise. 23 floors of apartments. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (!!!) bedroom homes. Large, functional balconies. Solar protection.

This proposal didn't even win the competition. I don't love all of the concrete, but imagine this building made of timber.

This is what comes into my apartment via trickle vent on Stone Way. I'm sure this is not bad for me, right? Right?!

Incredible that this is just as true today, over 100 years later.

This isn't a corner store yet, but this small commercial building is currently in NR3 and will not be upzoned in the comp plan update. 3 storefronts & I think one of the tenants is moving out next month.

If you don't record an out, you won't have an ERA.

Seattle comp plan people—can someone help me get clarity on proposed density limits in LR1 zones? Currently, there is no limit for flats in LR1 (only for RH on interior lots + THs).

Summary doc appears to have blanket density limit in LR1, but can't get OPCD confirmation.

Just saw plans for the development planned for the old Burgermaster site by U Village. This area is a 5 minute walk to the Burke-Gilman, ~1 mile from 2 light rail stations, and is served by maybe 7 bus routes.

They are providing ~700 parking stalls.

Wohnregal by Frohn & Rojas in Berlin. 6-story mixed use infill, ground flr commercial + 10 apartments. Single stair. Pre-fab concrete construction with floor to ceiling triple-pane sliding windows. The kicker? Built for around $165/sf in 2018. Imagine having this in Seattle.
