We demonstrated that brain connectivity between the target and the rest of the brain was mostly changed for around 1h following the ultrasound
stimulation.

In this article, we present results about one animal who underwent around 50 MRIs, half of which followed ultrasound stimulation of the left anterior part of the hippocampus, a promising target since it is involved in so many brain dysfunctions.

This cognitive change in reduced reaction time was directly linked to biological change (rs-fMRI functional connectivity) and physical change (pressure change at target) as also confirmed by mediation analysis.

Testing around 1.5 hours after stimulation, reaction time was 8% faster for the IFC target in a stop-signal-task. Accuracy remained as high as before stimulation.
