Our niece bought herself a colossal sword while visiting Spain with school. We may not have given it the respect it deserved

Today I went to Whalley with my wife and, trust me, the Parish Church is one of the most beautiful and strange places you will ever see

I’m building a model of the scene of the crime from the Thursday Night League project I’m working on. I need to work out how to create a Brazen Head for the stage next

This boy is always scared when it’s windy or stormy out, so he’s tucked himself in

It’s time for my Spotify Wrapped!

Been really rubbish at promoting myself AGAIN but here’s the rest of the early Common Swings if you want to get some silly stocking fillers for people. I’ll get to the more recent stuff in the next few days, honest

The most successful character drawing since the accident! Quite pleased with these

Had my appraise at work today (which went really well) but now am having one at home with Spooky (not going so well)

I’m not doing any Christmas shows this year because the UFO day knackered me out. BUT if you’re looking for stocking fillers from a zine making weirdo who’s me… well, here’s the first four issues I made

In case any backers are on here - I’ll be in touch with international backers once the British people have all paid up

The most character based drawing I’ve done since the accident. Hurt a fair bit but it’s coming back, frustratingly slowly but it’s coming back

Well Thunks and Grunts is done. I finished it last week, but only just managed to save it as one file. Took an hour because it kept crashing because the file is so large, but it is saved and backed up. Next up is printing and extras but this is now DONE

Pretty much finished! Now for the third one!

For a few weeks now I’ve had this vague feeling that all my strange ways of getting the Kickstarter finished were in fact even more confusing and distracting. All I really needed were a couple of days to get it all sorted and… fingers crossed that’s going to be done by tomorrow

Getting there!

I’m reading Chris Josiffe’s wonderful book on Gef the Mongoose and what’s so special about it is that Gef’s less a menace and just a deeply weird talking mongoose who likes a song and some grub. He reminds me of my other favourite Fortean story, the Mince Pie Martians

It no longer has all the inserts, but I couldn’t resist this Bam Caruso edition of the Prisoner soundtrack with its amazing front cover

Thoughts about this perplexing Beatles’ book. Which is worse:

1. The impenetrable cover?
2. The enormous amount of typos in even the shortest of songs?
3. The apparent complete disregard for what indexes are meant to be?
4. The person who wrote the introduction?

Very close to finishing this in black and white (and then I start the colouring)

This was going to be a bunch of woodland creatures hanging out, but it’s instead been a nice opportunity to revisit Wizard’s Quest (it’ll be a painted print when it’s done)

What a strange book this is - a mostly autobiographical novel about Crowley, written by a loyal acolyte but so far in the style of light middle class 1930s comedy. It switches from pretty authentic records of rituals to an almost gossipy comic tone. Tremendously likeable though
