Having conversations with my normie friends really is depressing. All take Putin threats of nuclear war incredibly seriously and are now saying we should no longer be providing Ukraine aid. It’s sad, and it does show that for a lot of people these threats from Putin do work

For the American right Trump is a blank slate they can impose their dreams and hopes onto. He has almost no real policy positions and his statements routinely contradict each other. They’ve conjured their own internal idea of Trump and now reality is not matching this they’re feeling confused

Honestly i don’t know how people get through the misery of it all. Friends and family consumed by right-wing Russian propaganda and all you can do is point out that they’re wrong. Have to try though otherwise we’re all complicit in some regards if we know better.
