The Super Mario Galaxy Movie's official trailer has been revealed!

Bowser Jr., Rosalina, and the Comet Observatory have been officially unveiled alongside other familiar characters and settings from various Mario games.

18 years ago today, on November 1st, 2007, Super Mario Galaxy was released on the Nintendo Wii in Japan.

Yes! Jumping off the far edge of the platform at the end of Rolling Lane will overshoot the regular deathplane and leave Rock Mario falling for longer than usual, even on the Wii version of Super Mario Galaxy 2.

In both the Wii and Nintendo Switch releases of Super Mario Galaxy 2, returning to the Starship as Luigi will play a transition back to Mario and save the game.

Before the game is saved, Mailtoad can be spotted T-posing. In this state, his shadow is also misaligned with his position.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, it's possible to see inside a Smeech by entering first-person view before it kisses Yoshi.

Additionally, a Smeech will remain attached to Yoshi's mouth even after collecting a star.

Using an emulator to bypass the crash allows Yoshi to ride the slide with Mario.

However, Yoshi doesn't preserve any of his moves or abilities while riding the slide and most animations are broken.

It's possible to crash both the Wii and Nintendo Switch releases of Super Mario Galaxy 2.

By abusing the Infinite Flutter Jump glitch, it's possible to reach the Tall Trunk Galaxy slide with Yoshi.

Attempting to enter the slide with Yoshi crashes the game.

It's possible to crash any release of Super Mario Galaxy by doing a specific setup in Loopdeeswoop Galaxy.

Launching into the sky with the help of a water slide will kill the player.

Attempting to make the Manta Ray jump after it lands back in the water crashes the game.

The Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Bundle has added support for amiibo.

Scanning most amiibo provides the player with 15 Star Bits.

Since there's no cooldown for this feature, a player can simply scan amiibo indefinitely for unlimited Star Bits.

There's an intricate Glitch that removes the player's checkpoint in Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch's Throwback Galaxy.

After getting the checkpoint at the top of the stage and walking back through the level, dying while fighting the Whomp King in Assist Mode will remove the checkpoint.

The Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Bundle contains a glitch that breaks the cursor, making it difficult to collect Starbits.

It is currently unknown how this glitch occurs but it persists even after exiting the level or changing game modes.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, it's possible to die in the end-game credits by infinite fluttering with Yoshi.

However, in Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch, having Assist Mode enabled prevents the player from dying, instead taking them to the previous section where the visible level is unloaded.

The player's cursor can now collect Starbits through solid ground as seen in this example from Spin-Dig Galaxy.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch, Banktoad can no longer store Starbits across save files.

Instead, he informs the player that the game now supports amiibo functionality.
