Yeah its funny cause the Usos were a TERRIFIC team, but it wasnt until they really developed those personas that they took off. And Jey as a singles wrestler is... competent, but hes not the guy who put out there expecting a main event level classic. But hes still insanely over. Cool success story.

Yeah as a kid I was definitely digging through their personal life to decide which athletes I was allowed to enjoy based on their off the field cuntery

I think this single play results in Admiral being a generally underrated defender because of how famous it is. Hakeem made him look silly here, but Robinson was *amazing*. One of those guys who would be an absolute terror in the modern pace and space league.

Nowadays almost never, ESPN afternoon block (ATH/PTI) and Sportscenter and Baseball Tonight etc used to be a religion for me though.
Closest thing I do that for now is MLBN's MLB Tonight where they keep up with games around the league live, idk if that counts.

He has a good shout for first team defense this year even with a lot of great candidates, he’ll probably end up 2nd but hes been terrific

Would be a pretty great story really - herculean effort by Harden to keep them afloat, the rise of Zu, then it all coming together when Kawhi gets back and they look absolutely elite for the last 30ish games of the season going into the playoffs with Kawhi looking fresh and healthy

LAC just too well coached and Harden too smart running the offense to not completely tear that apart, everything coming incredibly easy for LAC so far

He's lost some of his finishing ability against good rim protectors with the age and hamstring injuries, but he's still elite at getting to the rim, and if Jokic isn't going to contest him its going to be a very comfortable series for James.

That said, I dont actually think King's Speech is bad, I just felt it had no business at all beating the excellent Social Network, which I think is one of the best films of the entire decade (and century so far).

I went into Crash thinking it surely wasnt as bad as people claimed - that perhaps it was just average fare that got backlash for beating a far superior film in Brokeback. Oof. For me, one of the more morally superficial movies (of actual acclaim) in a long time, and almost comically melodramatic.

Shape is a weird one, i think its good to very good, but id have put it in the bottom half of the field that year in quality. Call Me By Your Name, Dunkirk, Get Out, Lady Bird, and Phantom Thread were all fantastic imo. But I guess Shape was just good enough to allow the nod to del Toro.

mine is similar, some real good winners recently. not always my personal fav films, but the new age expanded academy is doing pretty well imo

Not even fully going away from their usual game to do it, theyve had a few games this year with minimal WR targets and lots of action between the hashes. Just smartly not taking any real unnecessary chances when they have the clear advantage in the middle.
