The "but Biden" line is infuriating. On one side, you have a *former* president who is demonstrably a kind & integritous person who may have dementia. And on the other, you have *in power* a declining, demonstrably malignant/conscienceless narcissist motivated by vengeance. These are not comparable.

A relative is visiting who is pro-Trump and simply cannot fathom why people are so upset about his presidency. I suspect she will only read *one* resource if I suggest it to her (she'd feel disloyal if she read more). What *one* compelling article/podcast would be a good summary of Trump horrors?

First time participating in any kind of protest. HUGE turnout! I went with trepidation, not sure what I’d find. It was Hope, and love, and resistance, and good trouble. A spiritual experience in so many ways. #handsoff2025 #DupageCounty

@mrsbettybowers.bsky.social says it so plainly and accurately. This is exactly the role Fox News has played and the destruction of humaneness it has wrought. I've got a pretty good imagination, but I'm having a harder and harder time picturing a way across this divide.
Half of the United States has been slowly and carefully inculcated by Fox News to believe that the other half of the country is their enemy and out to ruin their lives. Once this was established, it didn't take long for those viewers to value hurting these other Americans over helping themselves.
