This is the area I work in. I don’t need to google it. Yes, platelets have serotonin receptors. That doesn’t mean anything to serotonin function in the brain. And if your thesis were true, then we’d see low platelets in anaemia. But we generally don’t.

Not sure this one checks out. Anaemia is not a shortage of platelets. That’s thrombocytopenia.
Certainly, anaemia can cause depression and mood issues. But that’s likely due to reduced oxygen carrying capacity leading to lower energy levels.

Can you expand on that one a little?

Probably by sharing the video themselves.

Unconvinced, given it seems to be dependent on distance. Runner high is generally acknowledged to be part of a long run. No reason to think we lose homeostasis of oxygen at higher distances. If anything that would be more likely at the beginning of exercise?

I took up running in my early 40s. Runners high is kind of real. I think? There’s a sort of peace-out euphoria that comes on in longer runs. At least for me. Generally around kilometre 7 or so. It’s quite lovely.

I’m not sure if there will ever be a Black Adam reappraisal, but I am very sure that we aren’t at it yet.
