Book 92 of 2025. “The Guncle” by Steven Rowley. Two precocious kids are placed with their equally precocious (gay) uncle for a summer after Mom dies and Dad is in rehab. It’s a summer full of learning for all of them, and a story full of love and laughter. Loved every second! 5/5⭐️ #Booksky #Pride

Book 91 of 2025 “The Measure” by Nikki Erlick. One morning, every person in earth over a certain age gets a piece of string that shows the length of their life. How does society react? How does it affect your decisions and actions? I read this in a single day and need to read it again! 5/5⭐️#Booksky

Book 90 of 2025 “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” by Gabrielle Zevin. Parts of it felt long, but I fell in love with the characters and their stories- it felt “real” in that the journeys were not direct, but took “side quests” and detours on the way. 4.5/5 ⭐️ #Booksky #Gamers #STEAMnovel

Book 88 of 2025 “Friends, Lovers, and the Big, Terrible Thing” by Matthew Perry. It’s the story of his career, but mostly his battles with addiction. I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Matthew himself, which made the story even more poignant. #Booksky #Addiction 4.5/5⭐️

Book 87 of 2025 “Earls Trip” by Jenny Holiday. A regency era fun novel - a group of guy friends out on their annual get-away gets sidelined because the Earl must “rescue” the daughters of a neighbour. A little romance (and spice) and a lot of friendship ensue. 4.5/5⭐️ #Booksky #regencyRomance

Book 79 of 2025 “Scattered minds” by Gabor Maté, MD. It’s tough to tell the difference between conjecture and fact in Dr. Maté’s explanations of the causes of ADHD. I did appreciate, however, his ideas for parents and educators to help our kiddos out. #ADHD #BookSky 4/5⭐️
