Rs using the levers of power fearlessly for their own gain to gut the status quo.The Ds, if they ever get back into the majority, will never be brave enough to do the same.

The ratchet effect in full display

In todays economic news:

I think the biggest news comes from the bond market because bond yields affect interest rates of many things, especially mortgages.

What bond yields surging indicates is that people are selling their bonds causing an increase in supply (yields increase when price drops)

Hilariously irrational system this fucking rules lmfao

Really bad news for everyone (per a Washington Post reporter)

Yikes

The working class owns next to no assets, especially stocks. They don’t benefit directly from stock market records, but they sure as hell feel it when the stock market crashes and the economy goes into recession.

Our economy serves the rich and powerful, not the majority. We need something better.

Oh it’s OVER over

It was never about free speech, just speech the right and their billionaire donors approve of.

I cannot stress enough what an insane political strategy this is. Older people vote in much higher numbers than almost anyone else and fucking with their Social Security is a guaranteed method to irreversibly to piss them off

A week of economic statistics. Surely things are going well 😁

Fell for it again

It’s incredible how many “what were they supposed to do?” replies are here.

Idk.. literally fucking anything at all? But I guess Dems know better than us. Maybe it’s actually a 4D chess move to continue the same failed centrist strategy and punching left.

Surely there won’t be a bad reaction here

Modern conservatism includes both a fire sale of the government and a centralized siphoning of wealth and income from the working class to the rich.

This is capitalism at work, it’s a system of exploitation which benefits a tiny fraction of people at the top while everyone else suffers.

This is also quite remarkable. There seems to be a seismic shift amongst the Democratic base of support. People are angry at the status quo and they find the Democratic leadership to be incompetent.

This is a situation absolutely ripe for the Left the take advantage of using the correct strategy.

The Simpson’s have been vindicated yet again. This time we have empirical evidence that the American public views the two party system exactly like the meme.

Nice

Chat, is this good?
February 10, 2025 at 5:57 PM
The Dems had the information that this would bite them in the ass. What did they expect when they spat in the face of their base who were begging them to change course to prevent systemic murder?

They pursued a path of appealing to moderates and refused to use leverage to achieve a ceasefire.

This is the clear takeaway:

BlueMAGA is trying to “own” the left by highlighting Trump’s Gaza policy, however this is not a surprise to anyone paying attention.

They are upset that team blue didn’t beat team red despite Harris having clear evidence that the base was upset about Gaza.

Huh

This is a VERY good take that I agree with. Targeted tariffs have a long history in the US (partially explains how the US developed its industrial system in the 1800s), however blanket tariffs are broad and really have no other effect than mindlessly raising prices on the working class. Very bad
February 2, 2025 at 7:11 PM
In a surprise to absolutely no one, the Democrats have seemingly doubled down on their strategy of status quo liberalism and strangling the left of the party. The Democrats genuinely believe that moving rightward will help them win more elections than embracing a pro-working class set of policies.
