Barrister Naomi Cunningham speaks to #Scotcast on @BBCScotland about her recent work in employment tribunals. The first ten minutes alone make it abundantly clear why she is succeeding in so many women’s rights cases.

Excellent letter from Richard Cotton in today's Camden New Journal.
"I have always supported the sex-based rights of women and LGB people as well as the right of trans people to live their best lives."

The Biological sex and trans gender section is the most damning. It describes a deliberate and systemic bias applied to gender issues and is backed with verifiable evidence. It's telling that so many commentators are giving this section a miss.

Ahead of the winter Olympics the International Ski and Snowboard Federation FIS is the latest sporting organisation to adopt SRY gene testing for eligibility. The trend is becoming clear.

"I'll call a national emergency and federalise if necessary"

You seem to have changed the topic. You wanted to cauterise the trans women are women issue by claiming that fairness in sport is incredibly complicated. I am not aware that you have tried to explain your newer assertion that trans exclusion in sport doesn't need a sex-based justification.

Brazilian feminist & domestic abuse campaigner, Isabella Cêpa, facing 25 years for 'misgendering' a politician, has her case dropped.

I don't suppose the right-wing media, politicians & commentators will ever pause to think about the consequences of the bile and hate they have unleashed as they race ever further towards the far right.

BBC One 10 O'clock News 26/08/25. Is this an appropriate way to introduce a government minister? Was it written by a school work experience student or an intern with no training or was someone deliberately 'trying to rubbish' a government minister's comments?

So a key GC player is left of centre. The fight has come from a small number of courageous women mainly from the left. They are still ostracised their meetings cancelled and their books censored.
August 13, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Unfortunately, the trans movement's tactic of imposing a contested ideology with an aggressive #NoDebate policy backed by an alienating culture of social censorship was always going to replace an initially tolerant 'live and let live' attitude with a self-inflicted backlash.

A Ukrainian memorial on the side of a remote lane near Mylor Bridge, Cornwall, UK. It was built by Ukrainian refugees in 1948. They had fled violent persecution by the Russian-led Soviet Union and came to Cornwall for safety and work.

Correction: Democrats’ failure to apply critical thinking or do due diligence on an absurd policy has just handed Trump the type of photo op money cannot buy.

Reminds me of some favourite quotes "Science is a tribute to what we can know although we are fallible. In the end, the words were said by Oliver Cromwell: "I beseech you in the bowels of Christ: Think it possible you may be mistaken." Jacob Bronowski

Until our media and politicians start treating this with the urgency it deserves, they will continue to be complicit in the normalisation of Elon Musk as an unstoppable autocrat.
Things get worse slowly, and then all of a sudden, it's too late.

It looks like Trump & Musk are following Putin's tactic of scaring their opponents into submission. It may well backfire, who knows? Nothing is predictable anymore. It could also be very successful.
