Shall we play a game of spot the snapper?

The prologue was fun yesterday and the road position tactics ahead of the opening stage were interesting! Navigation and road position maybe the two most important elements this year - I doubt the fastest car will win this one!

Prologue underway and it’s the mikes first into the stage.

Out in Saudi for the Dakar. 1st night in the tent and there’s a sandstorm blowing - woke up with everything covered in a layer of sand - what joy. Took a few pics before the wind got up. Feeling grubby and knackered after only 1 night - but really looking forward to the next 2wks

Having said I’m not a fan of stadium stages, the atmosphere tonight in the Toyota Stadium was great and I actually really quite enjoyed it.
See, even us oldies can still change our minds about some things! 😀

All looking great ahead of this year’s Rally Japan.
Conditions should be a little more predictable than last year but if shakedown is anything to go by it’ll
Be mighty slippery under the trees.
As always, loving the atmosphere here - the Japanese fans are a bit special

Bit of a change to the layout for the super special stage in the Toyota Stadium at Rally Japan.
Top right they’ve added a doughnut and the bridge jump is less severe than previous years.
Not a fan of stadium stages but if you get the fans in maybe they work?
