The federal government has censored the work of dozens of scientists, including work by my lab, on the impacts of climate change on Acadia National Park. Signs have been removed from Cadillac and Great Meadow. They’re also removing signs about the Wabanaki’s sacred connections to Cadillac.

Let me get this straight. Maxwell spent days meeting with the Justice Department and didn't implicate anyone. But she got moved to a minimum security prison anyway.

So, what exactly was she rewarded for?

This ought to be a scandal, but it seems like nobody cares.

For most of the last decade, our media and political class has panicked over the idea that progressives were intruding on free speech rights by loudly criticizing people with unpopular views.

Anyway, here's far-right federal paramilitaries advertising that they'll rip down pro-immigrant messages.
ICE just posted this video taking down the sign in Mount Pleasant on Twitter.

So the argument is that non citizens shouldn’t be protected by habeus and can be sent to unspecified conditions in ‘third nations’ for illegally being in the US, and now Trump continues to question the citizenship of people who are clearly here legally like Obama and now Rosie O’Donnell.

So after having lost badly in court, leading to an injunction barring them from defunding or punishing hospitals which practice gender affirming care, they're now going to have the FBI threaten criminal prosecution?
The FBI is now going after trans people and their healthcare. Today it's gender affirming care, tomorrow abortion. This is the authoritarian playbook on display.

NEW: We obtained DHS data that shows the US knew only 32 of the 238 Venezuelans deported to a prison in El Salvador in March were convicted of US crimes, only 6 of those violent. Trump called them “savages,” “monsters” and "the worst of the worst.” www.propublica.org/article/trum...
Trump Administration Knew Vast Majority of Venezuelans Sent to Salvadoran Prison Had Not Been Convicted of U.S. Crimes
Homeland Security records reveal that officials knew that more than half of the 238 deportees were labeled as having no criminal record in the U.S. and had only violated immigration laws.

Trump, the so-called dealmaker, now wants to delay Medicare from negotiating drug prices.

Eli Lilly charges Americans $1,080 for the diabetes drug Mounjaro when the same drug can be purchased for $200 in Japan and $520 in the U.K.

This is terrifying in America. ICE agents are showing up masked—these abductions must stop. If you’re going to detain someone, show your face, present a warrant, and proper ID. Disappearing people from their families without evidence or accountability isn’t law enforcement—it’s state-sponsored fear.

Exiling people beyond the protection of US law without due process is not only unconstitutional, it's a rejection of the entire American revolutionary project. Sending people "beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences" is one of the grievances enumerated in the Declaration of Independence.
UPDATE: Trump seems to say for the first time that U.S. lacks ability to recover those sent to El Salvador if government deports someone erroneously. Says it’s totally up to Bukele. Seems to leave out that he could … ask Bukele to help fix an error. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Netanyahu loves Trump's plan to force 2 million people from Gaza & turn it into a billionaires’ Riviera. He calls it "voluntary migration.”

It's not voluntary if you bomb & starve those who stay.

It’s ethnic cleansing. It's a war crime.

No more military aid to Netanyahu.
